Meet our staff.

Ruth has been quilting for more that 15 years with 25+ years of sewing experience. She is a certified instructor for Marti Michell patterns and templates.

Her daughter, Lodisca, is her partner, and also has a love for the art of quilting. Lodisca works full time for the US Forest Service, but does the bookkeeping and maintains the technical aspects of the business as a second career.

You can find them together at retreats and events and at their small storefront, located at Ruth’s farm in Lake City, FL.

Shipping Policy

When will my package be shipped?
All orders are shipped within 48 hours Monday - Saturday 9 am - 4 pm.

What carrier will be used to ship my package?
We use USPS and UPS to deliver our orders. You can choose from a variety of methods to ship, from ground to express.

Will I receive a tracking number?
If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail may not have tracking numbers.

How are the shipping rates calculated?
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products and your location.

How are backorders handled?
We are unable to split orders at this time. If an item is out of stock when ordered, we will contact you first, then cancel the item from the order. All other items will ship as expected.

Returns & Exchanges

How do I return or exchange an item?
Please call immediately if there is an issue with your shipment. Our products may be returned for a store credit or gift card within 30 days of original purchase, provided they are unopened and in like-new condition. Return shipping will be at the expense of the buyer. All returned goods must include a copy of the receipt, your e-mail address, shipping address, and phone number. Deeply discounted items may have restrictions.

My package was damaged. What do I do?
Even though most of our products are not susceptible to damage during the shipping process, if you receive damaged items, we will replace them. Just email us at and we will send a return label to send it back. An identical (when available) replacement item will be sent to the buyer at no additional cost. Sometimes, especially with fabric, an item may no longer be available, in which case we will do our best to replace it with a similar item.

Block of the Month & Subscriptions

What is Block of the Month?
This quilting program gives you the opportunity to create a beautiful quilt, block by block, until you reveal the finished quilt at the end! You’ll receive a portion of the kit each month, until the entire kit has been sent. It gives you time to savor the process of quilting as you finish each section. This economical program also allows you to budget your quilting projects, paying for each portion as you receive it instead of all at once.

What do I receive each month?
Each Block of the Month shipment contains the instructions and fabrics needed to complete that block or section of the quilt. The last shipment will contain the finishing fabric.

Are backing fabrics included?
Backing fabrics are sold separately unless otherwise stated. Each kit comes with coordinating backing fabric suggestions or you can go ahead and choose your favorite backing.

If I have a problem finishing one of the portions of the kit in time, what should I do?
Don’t sweat it. Even if you’re not all caught up, you can work on each portion of the kit at your leisure. If you have any concerns, give us a call for an appointment or stop by Friday or Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

How do I pay?
We save your credit card in our system and your credit card will automatically be charged each month when that portion of the kit is shipped, including a low, $5 monthly shipping charge. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. You can also subscribe by PayPal.

When will my kit begin to ship?
The first portion of your kit will be shipped immediately when you sign up. Each month after that, a portion of the kit will be sent within the first week of each month. Most orders ship in 24-48 hours. Please allow 3-5 business days for standard shipping.

I didn't receive all the required fabrics for this portion of the kit. What should I do?

Should I prewash the fabrics?
We recommend that you do not prewash the fabrics in a Block of the Month kit. Many are precuts and will fray and lose their shape if prewashed.

Can I cancel the program before it ends?
You may cancel your Block of the Month program by calling us at 386-308-3195. Any unopened portions of the monthly kits can also be returned for full credit. Return shipping will be at the expense of the buyer. Returned goods must include a copy of the receipt, your shipping address, email, and phone number.
